Vintage Cream Teas
Who doesn't love a traditional vintage cream tea?
Some people call it ‘Cream Tea’, some people call it ‘Afternoon Tea’. The term ‘Cream Tea’ is said to originate from either Devon or Cornwall dating back to the 11th century where tea and eating bread with cream and jam began. This has evolved into freshly made scones with clotted cream and jam served today.
‘Afternoon Tea’ is said to have started in 1840 by the Duchess of Bedford who became hungry at 4pm each day and started to invite friends for tea and sandwiches to fill the gap until dinner at 8 O’Clock.
At Sweet Success Catering we have a modern day version of both with a vintage twist. Our selections of teas, sandwiches and scrumptious desserts and cakes will suit all tastes and budgets. Give Sweet Success Catering all call today to book yours!
